I'm involved in 3 different writing related projects this year:
*SWENGLISH
I'm turning 30 in February, but instead of throwing a party or going away, I'm spending 30 weeks staying with 30 different people (half of them in Sweden, half of them in England, hence the project name Swenglish) with the aim to observe their everyday life, and compare the similarities and differences between the two cultures. Ultimately, by the end of the year, I will have a book, and will also have decided where to settle!

*SHAKE THE DUST
This spring I'm happy to be involved in a project called
Shake the Dust run by spoken word organisation
Apples & Snakes.
Shake the Dust is a celebration of the spoken word and will get young people into writing and performing their own poetry. My role is to assist with delivering workshops in schools.

*WHALE WRITING/VALDA ORD
A writing project about writing with author
Charlotte Qvandt
We decided to work on this project during 2012 and we call it "the space year" or "rymdåret" in Swedish.
And it rather feels like I'm taking a leap into space this year by giving up my day job in the library and also giving up the room I'm renting, in order to live the life of a full time writer!

ENGLISH? CLICK HERE
Men redigeringsarbete pågår fortfarande.
Hammer & Tongue Poetry Slam i Brighton
*Var gästpoet på
Floetics, också i Brighton. (Se bilden)
*Min novell
A Day in the Life of a Girl who Just Wants to Come kommer att läsas upp av en skådespelare på tillställningen
Are you sitting comfortably?
*Föreläste än en gång på
Loxdale Centre, folkhögsskolan där jag läste engelska när jag först kom till Brighton

Next week is National Poetry Day (7 Oct) in the UK. I've been invited to both Jubilee Library in Brighton and Hove Library to perform some poems at the Study Support sessions "We Love Mondays" and "We Love Thursdays". I'll also inspire Young People (9-19 year-olds) to write their own poems and enter a competition on the theme "Home".
